Taylor Swift's full name is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th of 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became a popular singer and songwriter beginning in 2001, with her stories of heartbreak. Swift began to show an interest in music at an early age and she progressed quickly into roles in theater for children and her first public appearance in front of a crowd of thousands. As Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of Philadelphia 76ers fans at a football game at age 11, she was already creating songs. Following that year she started playing the guitar. Swift was inspired by artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to come up with original songs which reflected the alienation she felt when she was 13. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so that she would have the time she wanted to pursue country music labels in Nashville.
